Cathay Pacific offers daily direct flights to Nagoya Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO) from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). Flights from HKG to NGO take approximately 4 hours and bring you to Terminal 1.

Upon your arrival in Nagoya

The Meitetsu Limited Express train offers the most convenient route from Chubu Centrair International to central Nagoya, arriving into Meitetsu Nagoya Station in 40 minutes. The city centre is 50km from the airport, and can also be reached via taxi or car rental from the airport terminal in around 50 minutes.

While Nagoya is well known for being the car manufacturing capital of Japan, a visit to its world class museums and beautiful landmarks will show you a different side to this historical and charming Japanese city.

To understand the importance of the auto industry in Nagoya, consider a visit to the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology – situated in the outskirts of Nagoya. One of Nagoya’s most important landmarks is the beautiful Nagoya Castle. Built in the 17th century, this historical fortress was destroyed during World War II, and has since been rebuilt in its original Edo style. The castle exhibits a golden shachi – a mythical animal with a tiger’s head and a fish body – weighing more than 1,200kg, along with many other artefacts.

Elsewhere in Nagoya’s Naka district, visitors can find museums such as the Nagoya City Science and Art Museums and Electric Power Museum, as well as many of the country’s famed pachinko (arcade machine) parlours. Naka also includes the Sakae entertainment district, with attractions like the Sky Boat Ferris wheel, which is attached to the Sunshine Sakae shopping mall.

Visitors can gain a bird’s eye view of Nagoya from the Sky Balcony at the Nagoya TV Tower in Hisaya-odori Park, and will also be able to see the magnificent view of Mount Mitake in the distance.
