Cathay Pacific offers daily direct flights to Zurich Airport (ZRH) from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). Flights from HKG to ZRH take around 12 hours 30 minutes and bring you to the main terminal.

Located 11km from the city centre, Zurich Airport is within easy reach of the city’s most popular attractions. Travelling by taxi is the most convenient option, taking around 12 minutes to reach downtown. The Swiss train system is renowned for its efficiency and punctuality and can get you to the Main Station in less than 20 minutes.

A brief introduction to Zurich

Located on the footsteps of the towering Swiss Alps you will find the city of Zurich, a Swiss metropolis famous for its high-end shopping, tasty local cuisine, and centuries-old European history.

If you wish to shop, you should start your trip with a visit to one of the most luxurious shopping areas in the world - Bahnhofstrasse street. Here, you will find high-end shops from the Urania Sternwarte observation tower in the north all the way down to Burkliplatz, Zurich’s famous lakefront.

Zurich also boasts plenty of religious landmarks. We recommend visiting Fraumunster Church and Grossmunster Cathedral, both of which are accessible from the historic Minster Bridge. Nearby, you will find the winding lanes and picturesque buildings of Zurich’s Old Town. Only a few minutes walk away is Niederdorf, a popular dining street where you’ll find Swiss specialities such as cheese fondue, pork hotpot and ‘zopf’ – a braided bread coated with egg yolk.

To see Zurich from a bird’s-eye view, we recommend visiting Uetliberg, a mountain in the Swiss plateau that offers easy walking trails and stunning views of the entire city and Lake Zurich.
