Cathay Pacific offers daily flights to both Tokyo Narita Airport (NRT) and Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) from London Heathrow Airport (LHR), both with a layover in Hong Kong (HKG). Flights from LHR to NRT/HND take around 17 hours 15 minutes, bringing you to Terminal 2 in Tokyo Narita, or Terminal 3 in Tokyo Haneda.

Upon your arrival in Tokyo

Situated 18km south of central Tokyo, Haneda Airport is the closest of the two airports serving Japan’s capital city. You can reach the city centre in 15 minutes by taxi, 20 minutes by bus, or 40 minutes using the Keikyū Airport Line train, which runs directly to the city from all airport terminals.

Tokyo Narita Airport is located 70km northeast of the city, taking around 40 minutes to reach Tokyo by taxi. Another option is the Keisei Narita Skyaccess train, which takes an hour to bring you to Nihombashi station in the central Chuo City district.

Tokyo is also known for its many lush gardens, such as Ueno Onshi Park, Yoyogi Park or Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. If you visit the city in spring, the cherry blossom will colour the city in pastel pinks. In the autumn, expect equally photogenic bold oranges.
