Located 45km from the People’s Square in central Shanghai, there are several ways to get to the city centre from Pudong Airport. The journey takes around 45 minutes by taxi, 25 minutes by rail, or 1 hour by bus. Built almost 500 years ago during the Ming Dynasty, this iconic park hosts the Exquisite Jade Rock, a 3.3 metre high boulder said to be a gift for the Huizong Emperor in the 1100s. We also recommend visiting the French Concession, a historical neighbourhood with tree-lined streets, cozy cafes, and artsy boutiques.

Further outside the city, you can find the ancient town of Zhujiajiao, which is known for its unique architecture and bridges. It is also the perfect place to sample some of Shanghai’s renowned dishes such as “xiaolongbao” (soup dumplings) and steamed crab.
