Flight route information

Cathay Pacific offers daily flights to Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) and Haneda Airport (HND) from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), both of which include a layover in Hong Kong. Flights from Kuala Lumpur to Tokyo take around 10 hours and bring you to Terminal 2 in Narita, or Terminal 3 in Haneda.

Upon your arrival in Tokyo

Haneda Airport (HND) is the closest of Tokyo’s two airports to the city centre, located 18km south of the city. Passengers arriving into Haneda Airport can reach the centre of the city in 15 minutes by taxi, 20 minutes by bus, or 40 minutes using the Keikyū Airport Line train.

Narita International Airport (NRT) is situated 70km northeast of Tokyo. To get to the city centre from Narita, we recommend taking the Keisei Narita Skyaccess train, which takes around an hour.

Tokyo is also renowned for its many lush gardens and parks, such as Ueno Onshi Park, Yoyogi Park and Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. In the spring, cherry blossoms paint these parks with pink hues, and in the autumn, in oranges and ochres.

Foodies will love Japan’s unique and delicious cuisine. Be sure to try the many variations of ramen the city has to offer, two of the more popular being miso (fermented soybean paste) ramen, and shoyu (soy sauce) ramen. After your dinner, be sure to enjoy daifuku mochi - a traditional Japanese dessert made from sticky rice and filled with red bean paste.
